We recently hosted an evening with President of Divine Renovation, Mr Dan O’Rourke for a thought-provoking evening for anyone interested in parish leadership and renewal. Divine Renovation originated in Canada and aims to help parishes move from maintenance to mission, from looking inward to looking outward. The session was called 'From Maintenance to Mission – getting the balance right!' and was held on Thursday 18 April at St Francis of Assisi Church, Johnsonville, Wellington with a webinar option too. World Day of Prayer for Vocations – April 2024

Vocation Sunday is a worldwide day of prayer for vocations to the priesthood and religious life. It falls on the 4th Sunday of Easter – Good Shepherd Sunday – and a day on which there is a seminary collection. There is usually a message from the Pope for the day. Pope Francis’ 2024 message was released on 19 March. This year’s theme is: ‘Called to sow seeds of hope and to build peace’.
