WelCom April 2018:

Julianne Hickey

This year, during Lent, we reflected on ‘journeying together’, as we contemplated the transformative nature of our relationships with God and with one another.

We thank everyone who has joined us in prayer, reflection, almsgiving, and fasting. By joining us in this Lenten journey, together we are able to demonstrate Christ’s love in the advocacy, humanitarian aid and development work we do locally and around the world.

In 2017, with your support, we raised just over NZ$1 million, which went towards life-changing programmes such as: prepositioning emergency supplies in countries like Tonga for crisis response; supporting work that empowers women and children; programmes focused on skill development; and caring for our common home using alternative energy sources and sustainable farming practices.

For 2018, we hope to exceed our goal of NZ$1 million to continue our work supporting the poor and vulnerable around the world.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have stood with us in solidarity with poor and vulnerable communities.
