Chanel College Celebrates 40 Years in September

Chanel College 40-year Jubilee over weekend 14‒16 September, will celebrate the years since it was founded in 1978. Former students, parents and teachers are invited to contact the Chanel College Office or to visit the website at chanelcollege.school.nz for details. There will be entertainment, time to catch up with former classmates, teachers, family and friends, meet current students and teachers at Chanel College, and discover many changes at the College and in the Wairarapa.

Programme: Friday: from 6pm, Copthorne Solway Park, register and reacquaint with former classroom friends and teachers. Saturday: Cultural and Food Festival from different ethnicities; students’ musical performances; guided tours; photograph displays; view the new gymnasium; meet the new principal, Mrs Debi Marshall Lobb; official reunion photographs; ceremony for restoration of wharenui and the carvings; afternoon tea; Jubilee Reunion dinner at Copthorne Solway Park 7pm with guest speaker MP and former College Head Boy, Kieran McAnulty. Sunday: 9am Mass at St Patrick’s Church, followed by morning tea.
