Distance learning course helps those on faith journey

Feb08Sandra_Johns.jpg Walk By Faith is a distance learning course which recognises that our faith life is a journey, reflects this in the programme, and takes account of where each person happens to be in their faith journey.

This course was developed and is administered by the National Centre for Religious Studies on behalf of New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference to enable participants to know and understand themselves better, to deepen their faith, enrich their knowledge of Jesus Christ, the scriptures, the church and its teachings.

Each year the programme consists of six themes with comprehensive study guides for home study and an interesting assignment; six tutorial group meetings in your local area; and two weekend seminars.

The material presented does not presuppose any previous study. Hundreds of men and women from every walk of life, every occupation, various religious backgrounds and all age groups have completed and enjoyed this course.

The course is ideal for people who have completed the RCIA programme and want to learn more, for teachers who want to gain a qualification, for anyone wishing to take a more active role in parish ministry, and for adults who wish to explore further their journey of faith.
