A whole lotta lovin’ in Naenae

Teachers at St Bernadette’s Naenae were the subject of tributes from some of their students who wrote to Wel-Com of how their teachers helped them.

My teacher Mrs Foster taught us how to compost and how to read hard books. She taught me tricky words, too. She makes me smile. Tugia (6).

My super dooper, fantastic, sensational teacher is Ms Stowers. She has a big smile and is adorable. She plays the guitar and she makes us laugh all the time. She wants me to succeed in everything I do. She gives me lots of ideas. Ms Stowers does everything she can so we can succeed in our learning. Rumbi (9).

Mr Hio Kelemete is a great teacher because he pushes me to achieve my goals and to do the best that I can in my learning. He teaches me good ways to answer my equations in maths, what type of language I should use in writing and the best ways to find main ideas in texts. Mr K loves listening to and making music. He plays a variety of instruments and shares his love of music with all of us. He likes to have a lot of fun. He teaches us to have fun while learning and he brings humour into our class everyday with his funny jokes. He makes us feel special everyday. Mr Kelemete is a gift from God. Angelina (12).

My teacher Miss Nixon is faithful, grateful, honest and sweet, helpful and trusting. I think she likes to be glamorous like me because she wears necklaces. She is clever and teaches me what my next steps are in reading. I love Miss Nixon because in fitness she teaches us awesome games. Angelina (7)

Mrs Robbins is a nice, caring person with a loving heart. She always prays for the poor. She loves to travel to the other side of the world. She is a sporty and arty person. To me Mrs Robbins is very special because she is funny and smart. Iuliana (9).

Mrs David has necklaces and bracelets and earrings. She helps me to shine. I love Mrs David because she gives me hugs, says Jesper, 5.
