If you’re leaving college, or under 20, unsure of what to do with your life and want to experience meaningful work or study with a deeper sense of purpose and belonging, or have experiences in different places here or overseas as you develop skills and discover a deeper self – then the Challenge Marist gap year might be what you are looking for.

Gap graduate Matthew Grevatt says the year provides the opportunity to explore interests and realise your potential. Since his gap-year experience in 2009, he’s spent time in Marist formation and has completed a degree at Good Shepherd College. Recently in France as a representative of the lay Marist movement, he plans to pursue a career in teaching. He attributes these exciting opportunities, at least in part, to the connections made and confidence gained on his Challenge Marist gap year.

Gap students complete a certificate in youth work, alongside a placement specific to their interests and aspirations, as well as other training and immersion.

Apply to join our international, multicultural community of people committed to faith-based social justice and human dignity, and realise your best self. Applications are due by 16 December 2016.
