Otari (Karori) Catholic Women’s League, hosted 25 members at a meeting last September at St Thomas More Church, Wilton, on behalf of the Wellington Archdiocesan Council. The meeting included a Liturgy prepared by Ethne Wyndham-Smith, President, and Vonnie Nunns, Vice-President. Anne Lumb spoke about her recent visit to the St Margaret Clitherow Shrine in York, UK.

CWL’s Archdiocesan President, Christine Paterson, made a presentation to Anne Conroy to mark Anne’s eight years as Wellington Regional Representative on the Archdiocesan Council. Anne will be retiring from her post in February this year.

Christine led group discussions about three main questions: valued aspects of CWL; changes needed; and suggestions for the future of CWL in Wellington and in New Zealand. The CWL Archdiocesan Council will consider the responses in relation to CWL’s relevance today.
