Diocesan News and Views

A special celebration was incorporated into Sunday Mass at St Theresa’s Parish in Plimmerton on Sunday 28 August. After 25 years of dedicated service Passionist Family Group National Directors Lynn and Rob Hill, transitioned their leadership to the new National Director Team of John and Mary Ellen Leen, and Paul and Linda Darbyshire.
From the opening hymn to the final blessing, the congregation celebrated with Fr Brian Traynor cp and Fr Tom McDonough cp, the Passionist Provincial visiting from Australia.
Members of Passionist Family Groups from Plimmerton and further afield, shared gifts in various ministries, and Frs Brian and Tom and Rob and Lynn Hill commissioned the new leaders.
The Passionist Family Group Movement has been active in New Zealand since 1988. At its height, 45,000 members were in family groups in New Zealand.
