WelCom April 2018:

Fr Kevin Conroy and the St Mary of the Angels congregation were delighted to welcome a group from the Samoa Voyaging Society – Aiga Folau o Samoa – at 11am Mass on Sunday 25 February. The members were in Wellington in February to take part in ‘A Waka Odyssey’ at the opening of the New Zealand Festival 2018. They travelled from Samoa with the twin-hulled, ocean-going canoe Gaualofa. The vessel is a floating classroom for teaching people about proper stewardship of the environment and the navigational skills of Pacific ancestors.
