On Palm Sunday, the Year 8 students of St Mary’s School Hastings gave a dramatic rendition of the Gospel of Matthew during the 10am Mass at St Peter Chanel parish church.

Cayleb McFlynn-Rautoa played the part of Jesus and Evie Olivier took Mary’s role.

The women supporting Mary were Sophie Haronga and Lei Gafa.

Ryan Maney acted out a very convincing Roman soldier.

Fr Vince Onesi led the narration supported by other Year 8 students.
