St Pius X School, Titahi Bay, celebrated Grandparents’ Day on the Feast of Ss Joachim and Anne. The school held a special assembly in the hall followed by grandparents visiting classrooms and talking of times gone by. This was followed by morning tea together. Grandparents are considered an important part of the school community. In the picture at right, Mr Martin tells Weka class about the olden days.
