Room 8 was the first class to receive the EPIC Eddie award.

St Benedict’s School, Khandallah, has been promoting our school’s Gospel values during this Year of Mercy. Our four ‘EPIC’ values are: Empathy; Perseverance; Integrity; and Creativity. We’ve been encouraging students to demonstrate these in their daily lives wherever possible.

The O’Styke family gifted us an ‘EPIC Eddie’ trophy they made out of recycled materials to use with our values’ celebration.

On the trophy EPIC Eddie holds symbols that represent our values: a golden heart for empathy and caring about others; a wristwatch to remind us some things take time, to keep going, persevere and never give up; ‘scales of justice’ for integrity and balance to help us do the right thing; a paint brush for creativity.

We present EPIC Eddie as an award each week to a class that has clearly demonstrated our EPIC values.

The Gospel values are a wonderful way for us to encourage the students to work together, look beyond themselves and do good deeds for others.
