WelCom February 2018: Te Ahi Kaa is a community house based in Palmerston North that serves as the hub for the city’s young adult Catholic community. Te Ahi Kaa Community invites ‘expressions of interest’ from young people for its 2018 programme. Members spend a year living in community under the direction of the house ‘pillars’ of formation, service, prayer, and service, in combination with work or study commitments in a supportive and welcoming environment. These pillars include opportunities like getting involved with Masses, youth groups, music ministry, formational direction, retreats, community prayer, TCI papers, and weekly events at Te Ahi Kaa for Young Adults.
