WelCom June 2018: Twelve senior students and two teachers from St Mary’s College, Wellington, have recently returned from a three-week trip to Europe. They visited museums, art galleries and culturally significant sites in Rome, Florence, Paris and London. They also visited Windsor, Bath and Stonehenge in the UK. Highlights were the opportunity to see ‘The Mousetrap’ a live-theatre experience, sampling the local cuisine, visiting sites such as the Colosseum in Rome – bringing textbooks to life. The trip also gave the students the chance to cope with life experiences such as dealing with commuter rush hours, interacting with people speaking a different language and coping in a foreign environment.
