Spreading joy through song

The KPF music group, based at St Francis of Assisi Ohariu Parish, visited retirement homes in their parish community this past Christmas season to serenade residents with carols.

This is an annual tradition – what used to be a 15-minute serenade of carols has evolved into a 30-minute repertoire. The group always ends their carolling with a prayer: “May you feel the same love that the Holy Family, Joseph, Mary and Jesus, experienced on that beautiful Christmas night. Always remember that we are all loved… that YOU are loved.”

The KPF music group are part of KPF Mission Ministries, a Catholic renewal community. They are members of a prayer group based in the Johnsonville-Newlands-Paparangi-Churton Park area of St Francis of Assisi Ohariu Parish. They sing on the second and fourth Sundays of the month at 10am Masses in the parish.
