First Holy Communion was made by a group of children at St Joseph’s Church amidst a busy few weeks of celebration at the small Eucharistic community at Shannon. There were two Baptisms on Easter Sunday, the First Holy Communion Mass the following Sunday, then the 60th Jubilee on the Second Sunday of Easter.
