Miramar school thanks community

WelCom December 2018:

Each year Holy Cross School, Miramar, hosts an end-of-year thank-you morning tea to recognise the special individuals, groups and organisations that support the school throughout the year. ‘It provides us with an opportunity to say thank you and it also provides guests with an opportunity to meet and chat together informally,’ says Principal Celeste Hastings.

Year 8 students formally welcomed and thanked the many guests for their support including church leaders, sacramental leaders, teachers, support staff, parent groups, sports coaches and organisers, school caretaker, parish council members, parishioners, the local MP, city councillors, local businesses including the nearby film industry and children’s bookshop, Police, Ministry of Education, Challenge 2000, Catholic Social Services, neighbouring secondary school principals, and others who have supported the school so willingly and generously. The cultural group presented a talented performance followed by morning tea served by the students.
