Bishop Viard College students performed a heartfelt haka in support of Principal Rose Sawaya at last year’s end-of-year prizegiving. After serving the college since January 2015 Principal Rose was leaving to take up a teaching role in Titahi Bay.

Vicar for Education, Jenny Gordon, thanked Principal Rose on behalf of Cardinal John Dew, recognising her dedication and commitment to the college, students and whānau. Principal Rose was presented with a certificate recognising her significant contribution to Catholic Education.

The Board of Trustees added their thanks and acknowledgement. BOT Chair Siobhan Dilly said, ‘Principal Rose has been a rock of service for Bishop Viard College, and the Board and community are deeply appreciative of her commitment to selfless pastoral leadership.’
