We pray for Emilio Capin as he prepares to be ordained to the diaconate.
Emilio will be ordained at 6pm on Friday, 26 September at Sacred Heart Church Ponsonby in Auckland (16 Vermont Street, Ponsonby, Auckland 1011) by Bishop Michael Gielen.
Emilio will be ordained along with Linh Cao of the Diocese of Christchurch.
A 6th year seminarian, Emilio said of his calling earlier this year during Vocations Awareness Week:
“I had many friends and was involved in many programs and activities, but although my life was full, I did not feel satisfied. I was longing for something I did not quite understand.
“If you feel you have a calling, that God is calling you to a different way of living, make time to listen and to pray.”
