The spirit of the Lord was at both of our Chrism Masses this past week.
First, there was a Chrism Mass for our South Island parishes on Tuesday, 31 March at St Mary’s Church in Nelson.
Then, Sacred Heart Cathedral was packed on Wednesday evening (1 April) for the North Island Chrism Mass!
A Chrism Mass is when the sacred oils used in sacraments throughout the year, and throughout the Archdiocese, are consecrated. It’s a special, sacred time.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, who received oils on their church or school’s behalf, and who attended.
