Praying for peace in our world

The Pope is urging Catholics at Masses this weekend to gather and pray for peace in our world.

New Zealand’s bishops – including Archbishop Paul – are following the Pope’s lead, and are calling on all parishes to host a short, 10-minute prayer for peace after Masses this weekend.

The New Zealand Catholic Bishops Conference has prepared resources parishes can use, including a special Prayer for Peace that can be read at Masses and for other local prayer contexts.

Let us all pray for peace in our troubled world, and that leaders may choose dialogue and encounter instead of violence.
