About 30 people participated in a seminar on Te Tiriti o Waitangi, held at Ss Peter and Paul in the Hutt last Saturday (30 August). Pā Gerard Burns led the group through a presentation on the history and background to Te Tiriti/The Treaty, significance of the Māori and English versions, and Catholic perspectives and social teaching relevant to Te Tiriti/The Treaty, as well as the meaning and significance of Te Tiriti/The Treaty today.

The seminar included a visit to Nuku Tewhatewha at the nearby Dowse Art Gallery.
