Relics from Saint Carlo Acutis – AKA the “gamer saint” and “God’s influencer” – will be on public display in Wellington!
St Carlo’s relics will be visiting Wellington from June 7-9. More details to come, but watch this space and mark your calendars for a special chance to see relics from the first Millennial saint!
St Carlo Acutis (1991-2006) used the internet, which of course was very different back then, to promote Catholic devotion. He taught himself programming and web design, and helped his parish and school with digital projects.
Beatified in 2020, he officially became a Saint in 2025.
The first Millennial to become a Saint, he’s sometimes called “God’s influencer” and, because of his love for video games, the “gamer saint.”
It’s a special time when Saintly relics come to our Archdiocese. Everyone will be welcome to check them out. Please invite your friends and family – and especially young people!
