In May, the Archdiocese’s Church Mission team were invited to visit the St Joseph’s Levin community to lead a session about Pope Francis’ document Christus Vivit. This document is addressed to young people and for those supporting young people on their faith journey.
Throughout the evening, the different chapters of the document were discussed, as well as practical actions that the Parish and individuals could implement to support young people on their faith journey. Parishioners also reflected on their own faith journey throughout their life, and recalled how they were supported, the key people who encouraged them in their own communities, and what ways they could carry this on.
“It was a really cool evening. Some personal stories and experiences were shared and practical steps were put into place – like just remembering to make room for young people to join in” Louise Lloyd, Young Church coordinator shared.
