Te Ara a Maria hikoi

Te Ara a Maria hikoi details and resources for the Archdiocese of Wellington.

The artwork “Ko Hāta Maria, te Matua Wahine o te Atua” which translates to “Holy Mary Mother of God” created by artist Damien Walker has been travelling Aotearoa since 2021. This piece of artwork was commissioned by the Bishops to celebrate our rededication of Aotearoa New Zealand to Mary, Mother of God, Assumed into Heaven.

This Sunday 3 July, the hikoi for this artwork will be in the Archdiocese of Wellington, starting in Otaki. Resources for this hikoi are available online here, including the full schedule around the Archdiocese: https://www.wn.catholic.org.nz/adw_resource/te-ara-a-maria-hikoi-resources/
