The Youth Ministry Team at St Patrick’s Parish, Paraparaumu, spent a weekend in February with 41 young people from the Kapiti Coast and Horowhenua, at Forest Lakes in Otaki pondering church for youth.
The teenagers participated in various learning and fun outdoor activities including a mud slide, flying fox, confidence course and a session where they were blindfolded and guided along a rope through the bush.
Paraparaumu parish priest Fr Michael McCabe joined them for a barbecue on the Saturday night and presided at Mass, ministering the sacrament of Confirmation to one person, having confirmed two others at a previous camp in December.
