Ecology Justice and Peace Commissioning

The Ecology Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of Wellington gathered on Saturday 9 March at St Joseph’s Church, Mt Victoria, Wellington, for a Commissioning Mass celebrated by Archbishop Paul Martin sm. With six new members bringing the Commission membership to 19, the EJP is ready to respond to issues of justice and peace inspired and informed by Catholic Social Teaching.

The Ecology Justice and Peace Commission of the Archdiocese of Wellington gathered on Saturday 9 March at St Joseph’s Church, Mt Victoria, Wellington, for a Commissioning Mass celebrated by Archbishop Paul Martin sm. With six new members bringing the Commission membership to 19, the EJP is ready to respond to issues of justice and peace inspired and informed by Catholic Social Teaching. The EJP Commission has three committees, which focus on themes of poverty, integral ecology and bicultural relationships. The mahi (work) involves action and advocacy along with building awareness and networks with faith communities in the archdiocese.
