Become a member of the Integral Ecology Committee in your diocese

People with knowledge and expertise about the environment are invited to become members of the Integral Ecology Committee. In Wellington it’s part of the archdiocese Ecology Justice and Peace Commission. Activities include supporting parish formation on Laudato si’, responding to government climate-change proposals, organising Season of Creation events.

1: Global opening prayer service – join online prayer service in celebration of caring for creation: SeasonofCreation.org

2: Stations of the Cross for Care of Creation, St Thomas More Church, Wilton, 7pm, all welcome:

10: Kaitiaki at Ōtari, Ōtari Wilton Bush – 2pm, join Church communities on reflective walk, starting Cockayne Lawn, next to Ōtari School. Bring kai for afternoon tea: office@otariparish.co.nz

24: Ecumenical prayer walk – Te Awa Kairangi | Hutt River from Harcourt Park, Upper Hutt to Petone foreshore. Walk all or section of trail. All welcome. Pre-walk talk, 1pm–3pm, Sunday 10 September, Lower Hutt, guest speakers will talk about their work on river protection and restoration.
