WelCom May 2020:
Michael Fletcher

While in lockdown the choirs at the Metropolitan Cathedral, Wellington, have been meeting regularly via Zoom to rehearse and have been kept busy working on recordings from home. This work enabled our annual tradition of a sung gospel on Palm Sunday to stay alive as well as providing a continuation of the choir’s ministry to the community. In addition, regular recordings of music appropriate for each Sunday are being uploaded up on our Music Department Facebook page. These recordings are taken from recordings of past services. The choirs worked with our neighbours from Wellington Cathedral of St Paul and Wellington Girls’ College to put together a recording of God Defend New Zealand in time for Anzac day. Please visit the choirs’ Facebook page for the recording and to follow other new performances and news: www.facebook.com/MCSHMusicDept/
