WelCom April 2019:
Te Wā o te Reneti, te Aranga me te Aranga Ake
‘May our Lent this year be a journey … bringing the hope of Christ also to creation, so that it may be “set free from its bondage to decay and obtain the glorious liberty of the children of God” (Rom 8:21). Let us not allow this season of grace to pass in vain!’ – Pope Francis Message for Lent, 2019.

Deacon Danny Karatea-Goddard offers a reflection for Holy Week, Easter Sunday and the Resurrection.
I am you, and you are me
In the midst of Lent our nation was challenged with the tragedy in Christchurch.
But we have seen a city, a nation come together in a common love and concern for each other.
How many times have we heard words such as love, kindness, compassion, peace, forgiveness and hope?
We have witnessed the old and young from many communities gathering to mourn, to pray.
We became one,
‘I am you, and you are me’.
The light of God’s love shone upon these moments of darkness and transformed our nation and in turn spoke to a world in need of hope.
As we enter into Eastertime may we remember again the stories of suffering, death and the resurrection.
May the Risen Christ continue to work through us all to bring new life to you and I and bring hope, joy and love to all we meet. May the peace of the Lord be with you. We are one together – tātou, tātou e.
Ko au, ko koe, koe koe, ko au
I whakakotahitia tātou,
‘Ko au, ko koe, ko koe, ko au’.
He whānau kotahi tātou
– tātou, tātou e.
“Christ is Risen, Alleluia, Alleluia!”
“Kua ara te Karaiti. Areruia, Areruia!”
“He is not here, for he has been raised just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay.” Matthew 28:6
