The Training Team for Side by Side Mentoring (Catholic and Anglican) is pleased to introduce Lisa Halliwell, as a mentor fieldworker for the Side by Side mentors. Lisa who comes from St Anthony’s Parish Seatoun will work between the Catholic and Anglican dioceses supporting and offering professional development to trained mentors.

Lisa is married with three children. She studied education and sociology at university and has just completed an early childhood qualification. She has worked with young families in several environments.

She says communities have changed and families now face many challenges because former support networks are no longer available.

‘I am interested in learning more about how the changes and challenges affect parenting and I am passionate about helping families to become stronger and more connected. My vision is to find ways of creating support networks that cater for the diverse needs of parents and I am looking forward to supporting Side-by-Side mentors in their reaching out to the families in our faith communities.
