Child Safeguarding Week is an annual campaign to promote individual, organisation and community action to prevent child abuse and neglect in Aotearoa.
The key messages for Child Safeguarding Week are:
- Every week should be Child Safeguarding Week!
- Every day of every week, our children need to be protected from abuse and neglect.
- Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility.
- Every person was born with mana, everyone is sacred, no-one was born to be abused.
