On 13 March 2020 Cardinal John Dew wrote to parishes about the precautions to be taken during the COVID-19 situation.
Some events have been postponed until later in the year or when it is safe to have them. These include the second Mission Expo at Garin College, the Archdiocesan Clergy Assembly planned for April, and Takirua 2020 which was to take place in May.
