Te Hao Nui Launch Out’s latest graduate: Telesia Alaimoana

Telesia Alaimoana completed Te Hao Nui – Launch Out formation for 8 years, from 2015-2023, and celebrated her graduation on Saturday 11 May.

On Saturday 11 May celebrations for Telesia Alaimoana’s graduation from the Archdiocese’s Te Hao Nui – Launch Out formation programme were held at St Pius X Our Lady of Hope Parish, Titahi Bay. The day started with mass celebrated by Archbishop Paul Martin, followed by reception at St Pius X Catholic School Hall. The celebration was attended by Telesia’s family, friends, Samoan Mother’s Group, the Launch Out Community and parishioners of Our Lady of Hope Parish.

Archbishop Paul Martin gave a touching homily that put into words what Launch Out is all about—of developing leadership that is not just about skills and knowledge but about transformed hearts that is touched by a true and deep relationship with God.

Telesia Alaimoana went through Te Hao Nui- Launch Out formation for 8 years, from 2015-2023. Within those 8 years she finished a certificate and diploma in Christian Ministry- Christian Leadership strand under Te Kupenga and was the first Candidate to take on bachelor’s degree papers in theology. Her initial ministry after Launch Out is to provide pastoral care for elderly people with disabilities.
