After more than 40 years in the Archdiocese of Wellington, Fr Tom O’Brien is returning to Ireland. The parish of St Teresa’s in Karori is planning a Mass and a function to farewell him. On Sunday, 10 June, Mass will be celebrated at the parish church at 10am and will be followed by a luncheon in the parish hall.
It is recognised that Fr Tom has worked in a number of parishes throughout the archdiocese and that there are many people who may wish to acknowledge his years of service to the Church in New Zealand and to give thanks for his ministry.
If you would like to attend the Mass and the luncheon, or you would like more information, please contact Catherine Vernon at St Teresa’s parish office, ph (04) 476 6132, or email teresas.parish@xtra.co.nz
RSVP before 31 May 2007.
