A cake with all the communicants’ names on it was a feature of the celebrations after eight children in St Joseph’s Parish Hawera made their first Communion on September 16.
The First Communion took place during the 9.30am parish/school Mass and the hall was especially decorated for celebrations after Mass.
The communicants are pictured with Fr Manus Lyons and school principal Cath Clough.
