The percentage of Gen Xers (people aged 39 to 57) in the US who attend a church service either in person or online is now as low as among millennials, at 28 per cent. This is a fall from 41 per cent in 2020 and a sharper decline than for other age groups. The survey of 2,000 adults was conducted by the Cultural Research Centre at Arizona Christian University.
