A St Mary’s College student, Helena Halligan, has had her service to the Karori community recognised in a Karori Youth Award.
Helena, who is in Year 13, gives generously of her time and regularly works with and for others in her community.
Her music, drama and sports talents are always shared with those around her.
As a youth leader for Challenge 2000, Helena has been involved in running youth groups, street day appeals and visiting elderly people.
As a senior student at St Mary’s College Helena is involved in stage challenge, choir, netball, cross country, soccer, basketball and is also a Year 10 level leader.
